Invest in the Next
What if you could be a part of investing in the next lost student on the campus of ISU? What if you could help reach the next generation for the gospel? What if you partnered with TSC to add another staff member who could invest in the lives of the next student leaders, changing generations to come? We believe God is doing big things in TSC and we want you to share in the joy of seeing Him do more by financially partnering with us.
Then Jesus came near and said to them, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:18-20
One of the trademarks of The Salt Company is the tightknit community. Regardless of our size, TSC has always felt like a small ministry because of the size and purposefulness of the TSC staff. Ministry is relational, so we believe to be a healthy ministry we must have many hands to serve the multitude of needs.
The Salt Company staff members play a vital role in the ministry that is done. Each staff member disciples approximately 12 student leaders, which in turn disciple ~6-7 other students. That means each staff directly and indirectly shepherds around 75 students personally. The number of TSC staff dramatically affects the number of students we can personally reach.
We add staff to create needs, not meet them. With each new staff addition more students hear the message of Jesus, get discipled, and get mobilized for kingdom work.
Since 2010 we have seen a surge in giving, and as a result were able to add six new full-time staff to our team. In this time we also saw our ministry grow by 450 students! An average of 75 students per new staff addition. Coincidence? We think not.
God has lead us to a place of incredible strength and health. We have more students taking our study of the Gospel course, more volunteer student leaders, more people in Connection Groups, more students spending their summer among the nations than ever before. We are bigger in size, yet as relationally connected as ever.
We want to reach more students with the message of Jesus. Weekly ministry involvement is less than 8% for the 32,000 students at Iowa State University (all ISU ministries included). We have seen God do incredible things in the past 40 years, but believe He has only started His work here.
Would you lean in with us?
Join us in asking God to:
- Draw many students closer to know Him.
- Transform our students to be people marked by obedience and love for Jesus.
- Enable us, so that we truly would be Salt, a preserving influence in a world that desperately needs Jesus.
- Have Alumni and friends of our ministry to surround us with prayer, financial support, and more.
